As my journey into Human Design continues to unfold, each new layer of understanding brings deeper insights into my unique nature & purpose. After exploring my Projector type and its beautiful resonance with Vedic wisdom, I find myself drawn to understand two more fascinating aspects of my Design: my Incarnation Cross & Design Sense. These elements add rich new dimensions to my Self-understanding, offering further validation of my natural tendencies and illuminating my path forward. These aspects of my Design shine light of my Projector nature and my knowledge of Vedic philosophy, creating a foundation of understanding that feels both profound & deeply personal.

The Right Angle Cross

As I continue to explore the depths of my Human Design, I'm struck by the profound significance of my Incarnation Cross: the Right Angle Cross of Explanation (23/43 | 49/4). This cross beautifully illuminates why I've always felt called to not just understand, but to explain & share knowledge in ways that transform understanding into wisdom.

The Right Angle Cross of Explanation carries an energy that resonates deeply with my Projector nature. It combines the gates of individual knowing (Gate 43) & inner truth (Gate 23) with the gates of revolution (Gate 49) & response (Gate 4). This combination creates within me a natural drive to not only perceive deep insights but to share them in ways that catalyze understanding & transformation in others.

Like the ancient rishis of the Vedic tradition who received & transmitted divine knowledge, this cross empowers me to take complex concepts and present them in ways that others can grasp & integrate. It's fascinating how this aligns with the Vedic concept of guru-shishya parampara (the teacher-student tradition), where wisdom is passed down not just through words, but through deep understanding & lived experience.

  • Gate 43 in my cross connects to the Ajna center, giving me the gift of individual knowing & insights. This reminds me of the Vedic concept of pratibha (spontaneous intuitive wisdom), gifting me with breakthrough insights & "eureka" moments. This gate enables me to grasp complex concepts through individual insight rather than structured learning, allowing understanding to emerge from within. When combined with Gate 23, which brings the ability to assimilate & express knowledge, I find myself naturally drawn to breaking down complex ideas into digestible pieces. This resonates strongly with the Vedic principle of viveka (discrimination), as it allows me to process complex information and express it in ways others can truly understand & apply.

  • The revolutionary energy of Gate 49 adds another fascinating dimension to my cross, for it brings a natural capacity for catalyzing change through understanding and not through force or dramatic upheaval, but through the gentle yet powerful transformation that comes with genuine comprehension, much like the Vedic concept of vivarta (transformation occurs through deep understanding) & krama (gradual evolution), where true change happens through steady illumination rather than sudden disruption. Complementing this, Gate 4, the Gate of Response, gives me the ability to find solutions through understanding and to know what others need to hear to achieve genuine comprehension. This mirrors the Vedic practice of samvad: meaningful dialogue that leads to true understanding.

The combination of all four gates creates something greater than the sum of its parts. It’s as if I have a powerful telescope to see deeply into matters & a skilled translator's ability to share what I see with clarity & impact. This cross isn't simply about having insights or teaching abilities, but the complete cycle of receiving wisdom and sharing it in ways that create genuine transformation in others. It's about bridging the gap between deep understanding and practical application, between complex wisdom and accessible knowledge.

Outer Vision :: My Design Sense

My Design Sense of Outer Vision adds another layer to understanding how I perceive & interact with the world. This characteristic explains my natural ability to see the bigger picture and recognize patterns that others might miss. It's akin to the Vedic concept of darshana (perspective or way of seeing), but specifically oriented toward the external world & its interconnections.

With Outer Vision as my Design Sense, I find myself naturally ::

  • Perceiving the broader context and implications of situations.

  • Recognizing patterns & connections across seemingly disparate areas.

  • Understanding how individual elements contribute to the whole.

  • Seeing potential futures & possibilities that emerge from current patterns.

This outer-oriented perspective, combined with my Projector nature and the Cross of Explanation, creates a unique synergy. While my Projector energy allows me to deeply see into others & systems, my Outer Vision ensures that this insight isn't limited to immediate details but extends to broader implications and future possibilities.

Professional Integration :: My Design in Service

The interplay between my Cross of Explanation & Outer Vision manifests powerfully in my work as both a Vedic Counselor & Innovation Consultant. These seemingly different professional paths are, in fact, beautiful expressions of the same underlying design characteristics, each allowing me to share my gifts in unique yet complementary ways.

As a Vedic Counselor, my Cross of Explanation enables me to bridge the ancient wisdom of the Vedas with contemporary understanding in ways that make these timeless teachings accessible & practical.

  • The Gate 43's gift of individual knowing helps me perceive the deeper patterns in a client's life circumstances, while Gate 23's assimilation power allows me to translate complex Vedic concepts into language that resonates with their modern experience. My Outer Vision adds another dimension to this work, helping me see not just the immediate circumstances but the broader patterns of a client's life journey.

This combination allows me to guide clients toward understanding that goes beyond their immediate concerns to encompass larger life patterns and spiritual evolution.

  • The revolutionary aspect of Gate 49 in my cross is particularly powerful in Vedic counseling, as it helps me share insights in ways that catalyze genuine transformation rather than just intellectual understanding. When combined with Gate 4's ability to provide meaningful responses, I can sense exactly what a client needs to hear to move from understanding to embodiment of Vedic wisdom.

As a Projector in this role, waiting for invitation ensures that clients are truly ready and receptive to the depth of insights I'm designed to share, making our sessions more impactful and transformative.

In my role as an Innovation Consultant, these same design aspects express themselves in fascinating ways.

  • My Outer Vision becomes a powerful tool for perceiving patterns & possibilities in organizational systems & market dynamics. I can often see connections & opportunities that others might miss, not because they're hidden, but because they require a particular type of pattern recognition that my design naturally provides.

  • The Cross of Explanation makes me especially effective at communicating these insights to individuals at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership.

  • The combination of Gates 43 & 23 serves me particularly well in innovation work, as I can not only grasp complex systems & emerging trends but also break these insights down into actionable strategies.

  • My Projector nature, with its capacity for in-depth awareness, helps me see beneath surface-level innovations to the core patterns that drive sustainable change.

  • The revolutionary energy of Gate 49 combines with this insight to help organizations transform through understanding rather than forced change, while Gate 4 enables me to respond to challenges with solutions that address both immediate needs and longer-term evolution.

In both roles, my Projector strategy of waiting for invitation ensures that my insights are shared at the right time and with the right recipients. Whether it's a client seeking Vedic guidance or an organization looking for innovation strategy, this natural timing mechanism helps ensure that my contributions land in fertile soil, ready to catalyze genuine transformation. The depth of my Cross of Explanation combined with the breadth of my Outer Vision allows me to serve as a bridge between ancient wisdom & modern application, between current challenges & future possibilities, between complex systems & practical solutions.

my Integration of Understanding & Expression

What I find most fascinating is how these aspects of my Design work together harmoniously. My Right Angle Cross of Explanation provides the foundation for receiving & transmitting wisdom, while my Outer Vision ensures that this wisdom encompasses both immediate understanding & broader contextual awareness.

This combination reminds me of the Vedic concept of rishi-drishti: the all-encompassing vision of the sages. Just as the ancient rishis could see both the immediate truth & its far-reaching implications, my Design equips me to perceive & communicate knowledge in ways that bridge the immediate & the universal.

As I continue to embrace these aspects of my Design, I'm learning to trust in my natural ability to ::

  • Receive & process complex information

  • See the broader implications & connections

  • Transform understanding into accessible wisdom

  • Share insights in ways that catalyze genuine comprehension

  • Support others in their journey of understanding & growth

This deeper appreciation of my Cross & Design Sense has helped me understand why I'm naturally drawn to exploring & explaining the connections between different wisdom traditions, just as I’ve done with Human Design & Vedic philosophy. It's not just an intellectual exercise, for it's an expression of my Design functioning as it was meant to!

Moving forward on this path, I'm filled with gratitude for these insights that help me understand & embrace my unique way of perceiving & sharing wisdom. Whether through writing, teaching, or simply being present with others, I now recognize these traits not just as personal characteristics, but as sacred gifts meant to be shared when invited, always in service of greater understanding & evolution.
