Background & Passion for Cancer Care: Dr. M's journey into natural medicine was influenced by a childhood immersed in the principles of holistic healing. Her early exposure to nutritional medicine set the stage for a lifelong passion for food, nutrition, and cooking. During her undergraduate years at San Francisco State University, she discovered Naturopathic Medicine, redirecting her career path toward a profession that seamlessly integrated her desire to help others, promote social justice, and focus on nutrition.
Education and Expertise: After earning her Bachelors of Science in Human Physiology and completing a Minor and Certificate in Holistic Health Studies, Dr. M pursued her dream of becoming a Naturopathic Doctor at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, OR. It was during this time that her interest in cancer care blossomed, fueled by a dedication to provide holistic alternatives beyond conventional approaches. Dr. M graduated from NUNM in 2019 with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters of Science in Nutrition.
Commitment to Holistic Cancer Care: Dr. M's commitment to holistic cancer care is exemplified by her leadership roles as the president of the Oncology Club and the Student Alliance for Integrative Medicine at NUNM. Post-graduation, she completed a two-year residency at Sage Cancer Care in Portland, OR, further honing her skills and knowledge in naturopathic oncology.
